Fiumicino is around 32 km west of the historic centre, normally 45 minutes by car.
Much of the centro storico is a restricted traffic zone (ZTL); your driver stops at the closest permitted point and helps with bags.
Autostrada Roma-Fiumicino; the Grande Raccordo Anulare is the usual delay.
